James and Alice , upcoming movie popular Malayalam star Prithavi Raj Sukumaran and gorgeous actress Vedhika is slated to be release on this Friday.

Premam fame actor Nivin Pauly To Romance Varalaxmi Sarathkumar

After the huge success of Premam Nivin Pauly, the crowd puller, is all set to romance Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Reportedly, Nivin and Varalaxmi will play the lead roles in the upcoming Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, directed by newcomer Goutham. As per the sources, the untitled project is official remake of the popular Kannada movie Ulidavaru Kandanthe. 

Goutham, the director of the movie, is the former assistant of popular film-maker Mysskin. Varalaxmi, who is the daughter of actor Sarathkumar, has already made a mark in Tamil cinema with her exceptional roles. Her Malayalam debut, the Mammootty starrer Kasaba, will hit the theaters in June. However, the actress is yet to officially confirmed her association with the upcoming Nivin Pauly project. As per the sources, the team is planning to announce the title and star cast of the movie, soon.

Nivin Pauly released his much-awaited project Jacobinte Swargarajyam, last week. The movie, which is scripted and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, has been receiving excellent reports from all over. The actor will soon start filming for the upcoming love story, which marks the directorial debut of Premam fame actor Althaf. Nivin is said to be appearing in a totally different getup in the untitled movie.

Malayalam Film Industry Congratulates Jayasurya

Jayasurya, the versatile actor has received a special jury mention, in the 63rd National Film Awards. Both the Malayalam movie industry members and fans are extremely happy about Jayasurya's success.

Popular Mollywood stars, including Mohanlal, Anoop Menon, Indrajith, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Aju Varghese, director Ranjith Sankar etc congratulated Jayasurya and the other award winners, through Facebook.

The media and the fans had expected that Jayasurya will walk away with the Best Actor trophy in the Kerala State Fim Awards. But he was restricted with a Special Mention, which didn't go well with the audiences. 

Jayasurya, has undoubtedly made a great achievement, by competing with the one and only Amitabh Bachchan, for the Best Actor trophy in the final round of National Awards. The actor considers it as the greatest honour.

Even though he couldn't grab the Best Actor award, the jury decided to appreciate Jayasurya's performances in Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam and Lukka Chuppi, with a special mention. 

 

Malayalam movie industry has grabbed 10 awards in the 63rd National Film Awards, in both Feature and Non-feature categories. Pathemari, the Mammootty starrer won the award for Best Malayalam movie. 

 

M Jayachandran bagged his first National Award for Best Music Direction, for the song Kathirunnu Kathirunnu from Ennu Ninte Moideen. Master Gourav Menon won the Best Child Artist award, for his performance in Ben.
